UL, short for Underwriters Laboratories, was established in 1894 as a non-profit organization for the purpose of public safety inspection and verification with the assistance of the American Fire Insurance Institute. UL specifications are led by wires and electrical machines to prevent fires caused by quality problems of burning appliances, fireproofing devices, etc. The safety and quality of products that have been examined to meet this specification have a good reputation in the United States and around the world. General companies through strict UL agency factory review and product review, there will be a number of corresponding wires (general electronic connection wires, isolation wires, power cables, computer wires and equipment lines, etc.) UL certification, versatility and safety have a good guarantee. In order to prove that it conforms to the UL specification, the LABEL is affixed on the product, which is divided into UL attached cards and labels.
AWM Electronic cable standard is UL’s earliest cable standard. UL758 is based on this standard, and all electronic cable specifications can be found on the corresponding page.
Requirements and tests for each Style Pages column name corresponding to the AWM line type applied. Generally speaking, they include: Rating, Conductor, Insulation and Jacket, the Reference Standard Instructions to Inspector, Conntercheck Program, Marking, Use and so on. The page number in each item corresponds to the page number in Subject758, detailing the experimental method and allowable criteria for the item. Rating: Rated voltage, rated temperature Conductor: conductor material, wire diameter, and stranded structure. Insulation: insulation material, insulation grade or insulation thickness. Instructions to Inspector: Test items that UL inspectors must verify on site. Marking: Specifies the line marking and item that can be applied to the Subject758 Section Generals. Use: The list must indicate the special purpose of the thread on the Tag.
UL safety certification is divided into three types: recognition, listing, grading, three ways of marking is not the same, UL safety certification is the most well-known service, the letter brother on the product represents the UL listing mark, on behalf of the manufacturer to UL according to the United States recognized safety standards to test the sample, in reasonable and foreseeable circumstances, the sample will not cause fire, leakage and related hazards. AWM:AWM is the standard name for this wire (electrical equipment wire); AWM electronic cable standard is actually UL’s earlier cable standard,UL758 based on this standard, all electronic cable specifications can be queried on the corresponding page number.
